“My heart is racing again” – Rev. Young Joo Lee

I had a Zoom meeting with diaspora church leaders this past Tuesday. There was a total of about forty of us. We held a short worship service, talked about the future directions for our ministries, five members shared about the effect of the pandemic on their ministries, and had smaller breakout groups. Thankfully, I was […]

“Appointing 21 deacons in 2021” – Rev. Young Joo Lee

We will be appointing ten new deacons today. That makes 21 in total, as we currently have 11. 21 deacons in 2021 – a coincidence, but it seems quite meaningful. =D Back when I was in Korea, churches that I served at used to appoint their members as deacons if they regularly attended church on […]

A serious conversaion with Joshua – Rev. Young Joo Lee

Joshua, my eldest son, is a thoughtful child. After having a meal this week, he asked, “Dad, how is Catholicism different from Protestantism?” Then there was a long conversation. “I think the biggest difference is freedom. At that time, Catholicism was centered around a pope and priests, and people were ignorant to a point that […]

Some may ask why – arguing that Christianity is all about […]

There is a member of our church who never fails to participate in a morning meditation. It has been about a year since he believed in Christ, and when I hear his sharing, I am glad to see his longing for the Lord and how the Lord is working in his life. He reads out […]

“A part of me I didn’t know about” – Rev. Young Joo Lee

It has been over a month since we launched our redesigned homepage. As the templates and styles have already been created, we have launched it, but there is still a lot to work on. Thanks to a member of our church creating this refined design for us, the development and implementation was simple, but there […]

Being religious v being a Christian – Rev. Young Joo Lee

‘Christianity is not a religion.’ You hear that often at church. We say that when we want to emphasise that our faith is different from other religions. But what about our faith is different? Our salvation comes from our faith in Christ, not from our actions. We didn’t find our Creator, but He came to […]
