Discipleship
Church retreat, building up the body of Christ twice a year
Our church has Easter retreat in April and Christmas retreat in December, each 4 days long at a fabulous location.
As we spend 4 days solely focusing on worshipping wholeheartedly on a chosen topic, many experience amazing encounters and get to know God deeper as well as realising that we have a caring church family who are close by which is a big encouragement as many of us are living away from our families back home. We see lots of people being restored and starting fresh in their faith journey.
Bible study to nurture our growth in holiness
1. Getting the basics of faith right with B2 (Back to) course
Sign up online for this 1:1 course and you can choose the time that works for you. Courses start on the first week of each month.
B2B discusses the creation, the fall of man and having faith in Christ. B2C focuses on the Holy spirit, church and worship, greatest blessing for those saved by Jesus Christ. B2D deals with essential topics for living as Jesus’ disciples, which are Bible, prayer, managing money, time and dealing with authority.B2E the final course leads one to commit one’s life to holiness and the mission of God’s kingdom.
2. Understanding the backbone of the bible
Much more than just summarising the Bible, we spend time experiencing ‘very Scriptures that testify about’ Jesus. You will have a fuller understanding of the Bible in its entirety and correct view of the Bible.
3. Book by Book Bible study
Studying each book of the Bible in depth, looking at the commentary to discover the author’s intentions when the book was written from a theological viewpoint and how the Spirit speaks to us through the Bible now. This process may seem challenging but you will be able to study the Bible on your own and teach others after completing this course as you will gain profound understanding of the Bible.
Preparing for the challenges of the world through profession groups
The church provides protection and nourishment with the word but we want to assist in equipping ourselves for the world. The church is called from the world and sent into the world to preach the gospel, serve the weak and bring His kingdom upon the earth.
We want our church family to set firm foundations of faith and be equipped to be influential Christians in the world as well.
Those who work in the same profession and study the same majors meet bimonthly before service at 11am to share how one should use their gifts to bring His kingdom here, asking for wisdom and praying for each other, experiencing the encouragement that comes from meeting others walking the same path.
